Medical Plans at The Bishop's School
The Bishop's School is pleased to present to you the choice between four distinct health plan options.
HMO Limited Plan
This plan is your most cost-effective option. The provider network is refined and provides the lost cost out of your paycheck.
PPO Plan
The PPO plan has one of the largest selections of providers in the country - with the option to receive care out-side of the PPO network [at higher out-of-pocket-cost].
HMO Full Plan
This plan operates similar to the limited HMO, but has a more comprehensive selection of providers and is a bit more expensive in payroll contributions.
HDHP Plan with HSA
The High Deductible Health Plan with HSA is like the PPO plan, but with a higher deductible and the plan qualifies to be used alongside a qualified Health Savings account, with the benefit of three unique tax-saving strategies.

Who Is Eligible?
Regular full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits beginning on the first day of employment.

Choose from two HMO options:

PPO and HDHP Plans
Cigna OAP PPO
The Cigna OAP PPO offers the greatest flexibility when choosing healthcare providers.
Highlights include:
- Freedom to see any licensed provider
- No referral required for specialists
- In-network and out-of-network coverage
- Greater provider choice and flexibility
The PPO may be a good option for employees who want broader provider access or who regularly receive care outside a network.
Prescription Drug Coverage
All medical plans include prescription drug benefits through Cigna.
Cigna 90 Now Program
If you take maintenance medications for ongoing health conditions, such as:
- Asthma
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
The Cigna 90 Now program makes it easier and more convenient to receive up to a 90-day supply of eligible medications, helping you stay on track with your treatment while reducing trips to the pharmacy.
